CGFM exams – how I pass them at the first try (within 15 weeks)

How do I pass all three CGFM exams at the first try within 15 weeks

1-Background Info: 

  1. I am not a native English speaker.
  2. I studied accounting in an American college. I had “basic government accounting” (one-day training) and “intermediate government accounting” (three-day training) three years before I took the exam.  I worked 12 years in the private industry and 7 years in the city government before I took the exam.
  3. Time studied and took exams: Between Jan to May 2018

2-Study time per exam:

Exam 1 – Total 3 weeks study 2 hours per day

Exam 2 – Total five to six weeks study 2 hours per day

Exam 3 – Total five to six weeks study 2 hours per day

4-How I read the study guide (this is important):

  1. Read each chapter highlights – take notes of key concepts (basically like handwrite highlights parts again) – short notes 15-30 minutes, break 5,
  2. Read chapter content details – take notes on unfamiliar key concepts, important dates, and pronouncements, rules and requirements, – short notes, 30-45 minutes, break 5
  3. Flip back the chapter, read again, refresh, no notes taken, 15 – 30 minutes

5-Repeat practice exercise multiple times (this is important):
